We have an opening for a Lead Analytics Developer in our Grand Rapids, MI office.

As a member of the Analytics team, you will get to drive exciting new features in our analytics space by using your skills to generate business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner. You will provide leadership and support in architecting a data lake and visualization solutions that will drive other key initiatives including, but not limited to, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning operations on a global scale. We're looking for someone that can establish relationships with the technical and business teams to ensure the integrity of reporting, minimize duplication of effort, and identify limitations in data sources and data delivery options.

This role will also provide support for multiple project objectives, requirements, and deliverables as part of a collaborative team.

In addition, this individual will be expected to assist and contribute in the development and implementation of standards, best practices, policies and procedures for BISSELL's Information Technology Department, with a focus on application development, quality, testing and maintenance.

RUNNING WITH THE BIG DOGS

  • Work closely with other members of the BISSELL analytics development team to design, develop and implement data solutions including integrations, transformations, quality data checks, import/export of data from the data lake, and visualizations.
  • Strive to improve the quality of analytics solutions on a consistent basis, but also lead the analytics and data warehousing team in the creation of high-quality analyses for all functions of the business
  • Collaborate with other Analysts and DBAs to ensure integrity of reporting, minimize duplication of effort, and identify limitations in data sources and data delivery options. This will include brainstorming and collaboration with the team as well as other stakeholders within the business
  • Assist in maintaining, tuning, and monitoring company BI/Analytics systems for performance, availability, and security
  • Validate, interpret, and create reports and presentations for senior management, departmental heads/management, and relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in daily meetings and take part in the creation and maintenance of the documentation for the BI/Analytical systems

DESIGNED TO SUCCEED

Degree minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field Experience level: 5+ years experience in the design and development of business data analytic and reporting processes

EXTRA TREATS

  • Experience and vast knowledge of database structures and database querying tools
  • Highly proficient with reporting tools including Microsoft Excel and BI reporting tools such as Domo
  • Ability to design data visualizations to communicate complex business concepts
  • Experience with DevOps as a service platform such as Microsoft DevOps
  • Experience with Domo or similar enterprise-level BI reporting system
  • Experience working with enterprise ERP and financial systems such as Oracle EBS
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle DB or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience working in an environment that adheres to security and compliance standards
  • Experience with report building and working directly with stakeholders from initial request on through deployment
  • Willingness and ability to learn, support and recommend new technologies consistent with the company objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to deal effectively with a variety of people (both technical and non-technical) throughout a global company
