HR Administrative Support Specialist
Overview
Provides administrative support for various human resources functions, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, equal employment opportunity (EEO), and employee records management. Responsibilities include processing HR applications, maintaining attendance and employment records, and compiling HR reports. May also conduct pre-employment screenings, reference checks, and respond to routine HR policy inquiries.
Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Conduct pre-employment screening interviews.
- Schedule interviews and meetings.
- Prepare necessary documentation for scheduled interviews and meetings.
- Conduct orientation for new employees.
Payroll
- Process payroll forms.
- Review employee time cards for missing information.
- Enter reported time for approximately 100 employees .
Compensation
- Review statistical compensation data.
- Compare regional salary averages.
- Assist in performance evaluations related to wage increases.
Benefits
- Assist in explaining available benefits to new hires.
- Support new hire benefits enrollment.
Employee Records Management
- Prepare personnel files for new hires.
- File paperwork and maintain employee documents.
- Track employee attendance records.
- Prepare termination documentation.
Additional HR Support
- Complete employment verifications.
- Process unemployment claims.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HR protocols, policies, and procedures .
- Basic knowledge of payroll and labor laws .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills .
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented .
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in HR or a related field.
