Job description

Vaco has partnered with a global manufacturing organization that is looking to bring on a Finance Manager to their team. This is a highly visible role that will support operational leaders with financial reporting, analysis, and business planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to operations, manufacturing, and senior leadership teams.
  • Oversee all aspects inventory analysis, product costing, and reserves for excess inventory
  • Manage inventory valuation in a standard cost environment, including variance analysis.
  • Conduct detailed operational reviews and variance analysis
  • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process for operations teams.
  • Review and update standard costs, including labor, overhead, and materials; assess inventory impacts and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Perform cost structure analysis and drive transparency on absorption, utilization, and forecast accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues while designing and implementing financial controls to increase efficiency and savings.
  • Support capital planning and investment modeling.
  • Provide FP&A support and performance tracking for local management.
  • Maintain strong internal control practices; coordinate with external auditors when required.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop reporting packages and dashboards with key metrics, controls, and performance indicators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of relevant finance experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively with operations and finance stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with analytical tools such as Power BI.
