R&D Product Development Designer (m / f / d)

You will join the R&D team and will participate to the development & design of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate to the development, design, change and / or enhancement of products or features of products for all our product ranges by applying a reliable and cost-effective approach.
• Draw up plans using computer-assisted engineering & design software.
• Contribute to the development of mock-ups, prototypes, 3D systems that allow presenting the product.
• Accurately define material, construction.
• Make sure projects meet specifications and regulations.
• Generate documentation for the production of design history files & device master record.
• Create and maintain Bill of materials for production in ERP/PLM system.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure fulfilment of customer needs and proactive handling of incidents/complaints.
• Determine root cause analysis of problems that exist or are reported by clients.
• Create and review supportive training content: written procedures, FAQs, presentations, … for use in enhancing our customer's support experience as well as internal product knowledge transfer.
• Ensure proper testing, documentation, validation, risk analysis for R&D department.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in design, industrial design or technical drawing, or equivalent work experience
• Ideally, you have a specialization in thermo dynamics, simulation, mechanical design

Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in product development - industrial design (Draftsman – Konstrukteur – Dessinateur projecteur), ideally in the development of Medical Devices

Technical Knowledge

• CatiaV5 (3D / 2D), knowledge of PLM tool such as 3DX as an asset
• Tolerances stack-up and drawing creation
• Design of roto-molding part is an asset
• Detailed knowledge technologies for sheet metal and plastic manufacturing processing and materials
• English is mandatory. German and / or French is considered as an asset.
• Use of Adobe Creative Cloud tools, CG rendering (Keyshot, Blender, Rhino etc.) would be an asset
