The digital “MoventumOffice” platform offers access to more than 10,000 funds, ETFs and other securities. In addition, it allows financial advisors to open securities accounts for their clients, to place trading orders and to use analysis, reporting and support tools. Institutional clients are able to outsource their entire fund trading with complementary services to Moventum as part of collective or individual custody account management. A variety of fund services are assumed for asset managers, ranging from registrar and transfer agent services to fund accounting, company administration and domiciliation services.
The Right Fit
The Senior Compliance Officer (M/F/D) ensures compliance with Luxembourg and EU regulations by maintaining and improving compliance and AML/ CTF frameworks, advising the business, and overseeing monitoring, reporting, and regulatory interactions.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate, review, and optimise the implementation and ongoing improvement of Compliance, AML/CTF, and delegation oversight frameworks, ensuring alignment with Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements (incl. CSSF);
- Analyse compliance and AML/CTF risks and monitor regulatory developments (e.g. MiFID II, DORA, MAR), advising management and ensuring timely and effective implementation of required changes;
- Review, monitor, and improve operational processes, controls, and policies to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards;
- Execute, analyse, and enhance compliance monitoring activities and the Compliance Monitoring Plan, supporting the preparation of clear and insightful reports for internal stakeholders and senior management;
- Ensure accurate and timely regulatory and internal reporting, while maintaining and improving compliance documentation, registers, and reporting tools;
- Coordinate and support audits, regulatory inspections, and information requests from authorities and auditors, ensuring effective resolution and follow-up of findings;
- Advise and support internal stakeholders with practical, business-oriented compliance and AML/CTF guidance;
- Review and support AML/KYC processes, including complex onboarding (CDD/EDD, UBO, PEP) and transaction monitoring, analysing alerts and improving monitoring effectiveness;
- Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to AML training initiatives, ensuring proper documentation and knowledge sharing.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law or a related field; additional Compliance / AML / Risk qualifications are an advantage;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Compliance within the financial services sector, ideally with an investment firm, bank or asset management company;
- Good knowledge of the Luxembourg and EU regulatory framework, including CSSF requirements, with solid working knowledge of the Luxembourg AML Law and applicable EU AML/CFT framework;
- Experience in maintaining compliance policies, controls, monitoring activities and regulatory reporting;
- Experience in managing of end-to-end KYC onboarding for clients, including complex legal structures such as trusts, foundations etc.;
- Hands-on experience with CDD, EDD, UBO identification, PEP screening, and ongoing due diligence;
- Experience with transaction monitoring - both manual review processes and automated alert-based systems;
- Proven experience designing or owning a Compliance Monitoring Plan;
- Deep knowledge of MiFID II obligations applicable to investment firms, DORA and MAR knowledge;
- Ability to provide practical and business-oriented compliance advice to internal stakeholders and management;
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail;
- Proactive, reliable and solution-oriented mindset, with high integrity and professionalism;
- Fluent in English; German would be considered an advantage.
