This is one of the largest actuarial consulting teams in Luxembourg. As part of our dynamic and diverse team, you will work on complex problems and challenges related to reserving, pricing, risk or capital related projects across the Luxembourg and broader European markets, as well as multidisciplinary projects in areas such as reinsurance optimisation and business transactions.

Be a part of our team where you will

  • Provide actuarial consulting services.
  • Perform reserving analysis and valuation with a strong focus on business drivers, ensuring reserve adequacy aligns with regulatory requirements and translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for management and stakeholders.
  • Support/lead Solvency II reviews for insurers, including Solvency II balance sheets, QRTs and ORSAs.
  • Support insurance regulation-related projects in insurance, such as local regulation, IFRS 17 accounting, transfer pricing, POG/VFM, etc.
  • Work closely with audit teams to provide actuarial support to our audit practice with regard to Luxembourg-based insurers and reinsurers.
  • Support the Corporate Finance, M&A and Strategy teams by providing expert support for business transactions, portfolio transfers, actuarial due diligence projects and reserves/provision certifications.
  • Assist in the continued growth and development of PwC's actuarial practice.
  • Supervise and coach junior actuarial staff.

Let's talk about you. We expect that …

  • You have a university degree with a specialization in actuarial science, mathematics, or quantitative finance;
  • You have at least 2 years of working experience as an actuary;
  • You demonstrate solid understanding of standard life and/or non-life actuarial practices under Solvency II, complemented by expertise in one or more related areas such as Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS 17 reporting, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • You enjoy working in a practical and creative manner, constantly analysing and solving new challenges.
  • You have good command of the English language. Fluency in French is considered an advantage.
  • You enjoy working in a team. You want to develop, build relationships and bring out the best in yourself and your colleagues.
  • You have the experience with specialised software in one of areas such as pricing, reserving, capital management (for example, URS, ResQ, Prophet or other recognised).

…so that you are the candidate we are looking for!
