Groundform Civils Ltd are seeking a reliable and motivated Foundation Technician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of foundation systems for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects throughout Ireland. This role requires a practical individual with experience working on construction sites, a strong awareness of health and safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The position involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions and may require travel to project locations.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation of foundation systems, piling works, and ground engineering solutions. Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery used in foundation and groundworks projects. Conduct site preparation activities, including setting out work areas and preparing materials. Support drilling, piling, underpinning, and related foundation activities as directed by supervisors. Carry out inspections and basic testing of foundation components and materials. Record site measurements, observations, and project progress accurately. Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures. Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times. Assist with loading, unloading, and transportation of equipment and materials. Maintain a clean and safe working environment on-site. Work collaboratively with engineers, site managers, and construction teams.
Candidate Requirements Relevant construction, engineering, or technical qualifications. Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and technical instructions. Good understanding of construction site health and safety practices. Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour duties. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment. Good communication skills in English. Full clean driving licence or willingness to travel to project locations. Experience in piling, underpinning, ground stabilisation, or geotechnical works.
