With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.
The Opportunity
As a Facilities Technician at Allegro MicroSystems Philippines (AMPI), you will play a critical role in maintaining the backbone of our manufacturing facility. This position offers the opportunity to oversee and optimize complex electrical, mechanical, and utility systems that power our semiconductor operations. You will be a key driver of plant reliability, safety, and sustainability, directly contributing to energy conservation efforts and mentoring junior talent in a dynamic, high-tech industrial environment.
What You Will Do
- Execute Maintenance & Inspections: Perform scheduled building, sustaining, and preventive maintenance on all plant facilities machines and equipment to ensure maximum uptime and peak operating efficiency.
- Drive Sustainability & Cost Savings: Monitor and optimize resources like power, water, and compressed air. Identify discrepancies, troubleshoot leaks, and recommend improvements to hit our environmental and cost-reduction goals.
- Resolve System Breakdowns: Perform rapid and effective troubleshooting of minor or major mechanical and electrical failures to minimize operational disruptions.
- Monitor Equipment Health: Track and evaluate machine operating parameters against manufacturer specifications using monitoring sheets to proactively detect abnormalities.
- Coordinate Projects & Logistics: Assess proposed layouts for new equipment installations or relocations, manage spare parts inventory and consumable requisitions, and coordinate facility tasks using our digital JIRA ticket system.
- Lead Teams & Audits: Conduct regular facility audits to initiate corrective actions, guide new technicians or On-the-Job Trainees (OJTs), and supervise the work quality of third-party contractors and janitorial staff.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: A degree or certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical course.
- Industry Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a facilities technician, with a strong preference for individuals who have worked within a semiconductor or cleanroom environment.
- Technical Expertise: A solid background in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in standard computer operations and office software to manage digital logs and JIRA work orders.
- Collaborative Drive: Strong communication skills to coordinate across departments, hand off tasks across shifts via logs, and lead safety or operational initiatives.
