You can find more information about Hydro on www.hydro.com To ensure quality and productivity of aluminium extrusions it is crucial with excellent billet quality from melting, casting and heat treatment. To maintain our competence in this field we are now looking for a research engineer to Innovation & Technology. This is a position for you who wants an exciting work with large freedom and possibilities to develop in a true research environment from remelting and casting to product applications. The work As research engineer in Hydro Extruded Solutions you will mainly work with development and support regarding remelting and DC casting, mainly:

• Melt treatment and cleanliness
• Casting practices
• Billet quality and effect on productivity and quality of extrusions
• Casthouse support
• Alloy development in multidisciplinary teams Your profile For this position you should have a PhD in metallurgy or similar experience in DC casting of aluminium. For this position you should be thorough, analytical and flexible. You should be able to work independently with your projects and take responsibility for the planning and the results of your work. It is also important that you are service minded and collaborates well with your colleagues and customers.
