Job description

💙 What You’ll Be Doing

As a Care Professional, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred support that prioritises dignity, respect, and compassion.

✨ Your key responsibilities include:

  • 💧 Personal care (bathing, dressing, managing incontinence, toileting, and grooming)
  • 💊 Medication support (collecting prescriptions, providing reminders, and administration)
  • 🍲 Meal preparation and nutrition (preparing tasty meals and mealtime assistance)
  • 🚶 Mobility and equipment support (getting around safely, transfers, and using mobility aids)
  • 🧺 Housekeeping (making/changing beds, laundry, tidying, light cleaning, and emptying commodes)
  • 💬 Companionship and emotional support (providing a listening ear, engaging conversations, and outings)

✨ You’ll also:

  • 🤝 Encourage social engagement and family connections
  • 👀 Monitor health and report any changes to healthcare professionals and family
  • 📝 Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
  • 🛡️ Respond to emergencies safely and effectively
  • 🧩 Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team

🦸 What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape!)

Hold onto your hats, because you don't need any social care experience to join our merry band of care crusaders! 💪 We offer full, paid training — all you need is a heart of gold, reliability, and the drive to make a difference.

  • 🚗 Driving Requirement: Access to a vehicle is strictly required due to the geographical nature of this role (you must hold a valid driving licence).
  • Genuine compassion and respect for others (kindness goes a long way!)
  • Strong communication and listening skills (that would make a UN diplomat jealous)
  • A positive, can-do attitude (as resilient as a rubber band and eager to learn)
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Reliability and a caring, supportive nature
  • The right to work in the UK (sorry, time travellers from the future need not apply)

✨ If you’re kind-hearted, dependable, and ready to make every day a little brighter — you’ve already got what it takes to be a Care Assistant hero!

🎁 What You’ll Receive

Here’s what makes being part of Sage Care truly special:

  • 🏆 Group Recognition Programmes: Be celebrated for your hard work with our internal 'Care Heroes' awards and long-service recognition!
  • 🌼 28 days annual leave (pro rata)
  • 👶 Enhanced occupational maternity and adoption pay
  • 🍼 Enhanced occupational paternity pay entitlement
  • 💰 Pension scheme & Death in Service Payment
  • 💆 Benefits and wellbeing platform
  • 🎉 Refer a friend scheme
  • 🚴 Cycle to work scheme
  • 🤝 Paid Shadowing Shifts with an experienced mentor before you ever go out on your own!
  • 🎓 Fully funded NVQs/Diplomas in Health & Social Care – we will pay for you to upskill!
