Your impact

As an Advisor, Contract Management – Sustaining Capital at Boddington Gold Mine, you will be a trusted commercial partner supporting the successful delivery of site-based sustaining capital projects.

Working closely with project teams, engineers, and contract owners, you will help drive commercial value and ensure effective contract governance across a diverse portfolio of capital works. From sourcing and tendering through to contract administration, supplier performance, and project close-out, your expertise will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient and cost-effective project outcomes.

As part of our team you will

  • Partner with project teams and contract owners to deliver commercially sound contractor and supplier outcomes across sustaining capital projects
  • Lead sourcing and tendering activities, including market engagement, evaluation, negotiation and contract award
  • Provide commercial guidance on scope development, contractor onboarding and supplier relationship management
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including variations, extensions, claims and dispute resolution
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure safety, quality, commercial and project delivery expectations are achieved
  • Support contract owners with cost control, risk management and project performance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, capital governance requirements and contracting standards
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation, reporting and records across SAP, ARIBA and other contract management systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, streamline processes and enhance contractor performance
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of commercial capability across site

Prerequisites for your success in the role

  • Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
  • Experience in contract management, procurement or commercial roles within mining, construction, infrastructure or heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract law and procurement practices
  • Experience supporting sustaining capital, construction or project-based contract portfolios
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and competing priorities within a complex operational environment
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SAP, ARIBA or similar contract management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
  • A commitment to safety, governance and continuous improvement

Your work environment

This role is aligned to Newmont's 5/2, 4/3 roster, offering a blend of site engagement and work-from-home flexibility. Based at Boddington Gold Mine, located approximately 130km south of Perth, you will be required to spend a minimum of three days per week onsite, with the remaining days worked from home. This arrangement provides the opportunity to build strong site relationships while maintaining flexibility in your work week.

Working closely with project, engineering and operational teams, you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of sustaining capital projects that directly support the performance and future success of one of Australia's largest gold mining operations.
