Are you passionate about patient care and creating exceptional healthcare experiences? Novant Health Autumn Hall is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team!
As a CMA, you'll be at the heart of the patient journey, providing both clinical and administrative support to ensure every patient receives outstanding care. From welcoming patients and obtaining vital signs to assisting with procedures, administering medications and immunizations, and performing laboratory duties, you'll play a key role in helping our team deliver remarkable healthcare.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will
-Build meaningful connections with patients and support their healthcare journey
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care activities
- Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and other clinical laboratory responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient records, referrals, and EMR documentation
- Support front-office operations including scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
- Reinforce patient education and care plans to promote positive health outcomes
- Collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented healthcare environment focused on excellence

What We're Looking For

Education : High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
Experience : Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required
Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096
Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required
Additional Skills/Requirements (required) : Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
