V2X is seeking a part-time Senior Project Analyst to recommend changes of various tasks related to the sustainment, improvement, support, and maintenance of aircraft weapon systems and related support equipment. This position will provide MH-60R aircraft support as an FMS Senior Project Analyst to the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF)/Defence Acquisition Logistics Organisation (DALO) and Norwegian MH-60R programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise related to European maintenance practices and squadron level processes and procedures. Senior Project Analyst serves as engineering and logistics liaison for NAVAIR AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND (NAVAIR), USN Fleet Support Team (FST), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to provide support to the RDAF/DALO/Norway on the MH-60R helicopter, its support equipment, and spares support.
- Review and make recommendations on newly requested FMS cases, LOR, and other case related documents. May serve as technical expert for monitoring Contractor Depot Level maintenance and Contractor installed modifications to ensure quality in accordance with applicable Integrated Maintenance Program (IMP) Specifications, Technical Directives (TDs), and other authorized technical data.
- Conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft sustainment and production. May recommend improvements in aircraft systems, support equipment, and operational/maintenance procedures.Provide management and overall coordination between DALO, Contractors, and USN for all aspects of the DALO MH-60R support efforts to include, but not limited to, configuration management, technical, and logistical elements.
- Work closely with the Fleet Support Team (FST), USN and RDAF/DALO/Norway logistics and program management teams to discuss cost, schedule, parts/tooling, and technical performance of contractor and vendors
- Provides subject matter expertise on rotor systems, aircraft systems, aircraft structures, and drive systems in support of engineering, logistics, and sustainment activities to include Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) and Technical Directives (TDs) of the MH-60R helicopter.
- Monitor all levels of scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft repairs, modifications, and maintenance of the RDAF/DALO/Norway MH-60R helicopter.
- May evaluate technical data, maintenance procedures, support equipment, and sustainment processes and recommend improvements to support operational readiness.
- Works in support of FMS partnerships with US government, and domestic and international Industry partners in all engineering and logistic activities related to the MH-60R platform.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree plus eight (8) years in concentrated area.
- Allowable substitution: Associate Degree with (10) years or more of maintenance/engineering technician experience on MH-60R helicopter aircraft structures, subsystems, or rotors/drives, and associated systems troubleshooting.
Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in H60 support/maintenance.
- Technical expertise in aircraft structures, rotors, drives, subsystems and associated systems troubleshooting.
- Experience communicating and interacting with H60 foreign Militaries.
Other Requirements
- U.S. Secret Security Clearance; Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance within one year from date of hire will be considered.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data system.
- Minimal travel requirements
Skills & Technology Used
- Ability to read and use technical manuals.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate technical queries between RDAF/DALO/Norway IPT and H60 FST.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in English.
