  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

Performs MRI procedures in order to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Functions under the direction of the Imaging Department Director (or designee), the MRI supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists. This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an AMA school of radiologic technology. •

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • Achieve ARRT registry in MRI within 18 months of hire.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment and perform all MRI procedures as normally required in these areas.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Preferred 2 to 3 years as a diagnostic technologist.
