The Regional Annual Giving and Digital Fundraising Manager serves as a strategic leader responsible for advancing annual philanthropy, digital revenue growth, and fundraising events across a multi-foundation healthcare system. Supporting multiple affiliated foundations statewide, this role designs and drives integrated, multi-channel fundraising strategies that expand donor engagement, increase sustainable revenue, and strengthen the pipeline for major and planned giving.
This position functions as both an architect and operational leader, providing system-wide guidance, scalable infrastructure, and performance insight across annual giving, digital engagement, and events. Working in close partnership with foundation leadership, marketing, communications, and clinical stakeholders, the manager ensures consistent best practices, enhances donor experiences, and aligns philanthropic initiatives with organizational priorities.
General Requirements

Develops and implements integrated annual giving, digital fundraising, and events strategies across multiple foundations to achieve revenue and participation goals
•
Leads multi-channel annual giving programs, including direct mail, digital campaigns, grateful patient initiatives, workplace giving, and targeted appeals
•
Expands donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrade strategies to strengthen long-term philanthropic pipelines
•
Oversees digital fundraising campaigns, including giving days, peer-to-peer initiatives, social fundraising, and online donation optimization
•
Designs and executes high-impact fundraising events and stewardship experiences that enhance donor engagement and support organizational priorities
•
Partners with marketing, communications, and foundation leadership to align messaging, branding, and storytelling across all fundraising channels
•
Coordinates system-wide fundraising calendars to maximize reach, avoid conflicts, and leverage cross-foundation opportunities
•
Analyzes campaign performance data and donor insights to inform strategy, improve outcomes, and optimize return on investment
•
Establishes and promotes best practices, tools, and processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational excellence across foundations
•
Develops and manages complex fundraising and event budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong net revenue performance
•
Utilizes and optimizes CRM systems and digital platforms to improve donor segmentation, tracking, and reporting capabilities
•
Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy standards, and internal policies governing philanthropic activities
•
Serves as a subject-matter expert, providing strategic guidance and support to foundation staff in annual giving, digital fundraising, and events
•
Collaborates with major gifts, grants, accounting, and operations teams to implement integrated, donor-centered fundraising strategies
•
Strengthens donor stewardship and recognition efforts to deepen relationships and enhance lifetime engagement across giving channels
•
Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.
•
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other Trinity Health/MercyOne policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior
Education
•
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of philanthropy, as normally obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, business, ora related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in annual giving, digital fundraising and or fundraising events, preferably within a healthcare or nonprofit environment.
Minimum Qualifications
•
Demonstrated success managing multi-channel fundraising programs, including direct mail, digital campaigns, and donor engagement strategies
•
Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies that drive measurable revenue growth and donor participation
•
Experience planning and managing fundraising events with accountability for budgets, sponsorship revenue, and net income performance
•
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, evaluate campaign performance, and apply insights to improve results
•
Proficiency with donor databases (CRM systems), digital fundraising platforms, email marketing tools, and Microsoft Office or equivalent systems
•
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives across stakeholders, timelines, and locations
•
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling donor-facing messaging and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
•
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
•
Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor lifecycle management, and emerging trends in digital philanthropy
•
Ability to travel regionally and support occasional evening and weekend events
•
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
