Job Description

You will, as part of the Radio System Design team, systemize radio ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) and FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) needed for the Ericsson 5G roadmap. The radio System-on-Chip (SoC) is the heart of the Ericsson radio units and the focus area of your work will be SoC architecture and interface definition as well as systemization of radio features and radio functionalities which are to be implemented on SoC.

Responsibilities and tasks

Drive the radio product level functionality and features into Radio SoC requirement and take scoping decisions. The radio requirements include functionalities, features, performance, configurations, capabilities and characteristics. Take technical decisions for structuring and break-downs of radio requirements into each of SoC sub systems as system design solutions. Drive radio SoC architectural and interface design in the SoC development. Participate or drive technical analysis studies and pre-development in the SoC systemization areas Support to design team during development, verification, and validation of the design. Continuously improve and optimize ways of working

Qualification Requirements

Master of Science, Ph.D., or similar degrees in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Computer Science Minimum of 5 years of experience Proficiency within the field of signal processing, telecommunication systems and radio technology Systemization knowledge of combined hardware, firmware, middleware and software domains Radio system requirements in GSM, WCDMA, LTE and NR Knowledge in embedded systems, system-on-chip, ASIC, FPGA
