Job description
QUALIFICATIONS -You have a track record of building things -You have a good understanding of Javascript -You have design sense and the technical capability to execute on your ideas independently -You are intellectually curious and honest -Bonus: You have experience with Python You will work with all things frontend, from information architecture to visual design to technical implementation to helping us grow the team together with other frontend engineers. You will start hands-on, hacking on our React-based codebase to improve UX and add features, but before long we expect you to be one of our authoritative voices in the room regarding UI decisions and information modelling from the perspective of the user. Furthermore, we are in the process of raising investment and once that goes through, to accommodate the demand we will be scaling up the company to 15+ people, with much of the growth in frontend engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES -Sketch, implement and iterate on UIs for new features. -Own UX of the platform: suggest, test and implement UX improvements. -Coordinate with UI designers as necessary for development of the more sophisticated views. At Mavenoid, we’re building the world’s most intelligent—and human-friendly—troubleshooting system, transforming the way problems are solved through a symbiosis of human and machine. We partner with some of the most important industrial organizations in the world to transform how they discover the root cause of brokenness. Our software has been used to repair everything from robotic lawn mowers and dishwashers to cloud-connected trucks and military tanks.
Building out a troubleshooting system is a hard problem; there have been attempts, but no major successes so far. We believe such a troubleshooting system deserves to exist, and we believe that the two pieces that were missing are a radically simpler underlying fault-finding model, which we believe we have – and a sensible, intuitive, efficient user interface for the system. This is where you come in.
