Job description

We are seeking an aspiring Property Analyst to join our Living and Residential Capital Markets team. The national role, based in the Melbourne CBD, will work closely with the Head of Living to manage data, undertake analysis and create suitable internal and market-facing outputs to assist with executing sale campaigns of Living (BTR, PBSA, Co-Living) assets across the Australian market.

This role will be actively involved through the campaign lifecycle, from providing key input into submission, marketing material to undertaking market analysis, financial analysis and indicative asset pricing.

The scope of the role will include:

  • Transforming relevant project information and market data into meaningful research and other outputs
  • financial modelling of Living assets to determine pricing and projected financial returns
  • managing data from a range of sources to monitor transaction activity, new supply and other relevant metrics across the BTR, PBSA and Co-Living segments
  • creating meaningful inputs to submissions, presentations, information memoranda and periodic publications
  • assist in management of sales campaigns including preparation of key documents, data room compilation, client reporting
  • collaborating with other analysts and personnel across the Colliers network
  • providing extracts of relevant information to clients to support their investment decisions

Candidates will ideally possess some relevant experience as a valuer, analyst, or similar function, in the real estate sector and a strong interest in the fast-evolving Living and Residential sector.

Other requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in either Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Urban Economics or related field;
  • Professional accreditation in relevant discipline (CPV will be highly aligned to the requirements of this role)
  • High proficiency in use of AI and relevant applications (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint or similar)
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of local residential property markets and current issues.
  • Ability to work competently, take direction, apply initiative, and work independently to achieve key milestone dates.
  • strong communication skills.
