Datacenter Network Engineer

We’re looking for a Datacenter Network Engineer to join us at Telia Cygate.

My name is Greg Szuh and I lead the Managed Network unit. Here, we bring together skilled specialists, architects, and service owners within networking, forming the core of Telia Cygate’s managed network services business. We are now looking for a  senior Network Engineer with a Data Center focus  who wants to grow, share knowledge, and contribute in a collaborative and supportive environment. 
 
 
What you’ll do  
 

You will work as a Network Engineer in a central team, with a focus on our Data Center services within Managed Services. 

In this role, you will work with modern and complex environments, contributing to both daily operations and long-term development. Your responsibilities include lifecycle management, as well as projects such as onboarding and offboarding customers and services. You will also work with configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of underlay/overlay architectures and associated security solutions. 

You will collaborate closely with experienced colleagues and other teams, contributing to cross-functional deliveries that often span areas such as security, cloud, automation, virtualization, and compute/storage. There is strong support for knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and certifications – and we encourage you to deepen or broaden your expertise in the areas that interest you.

Your experience: 

• Several years of experience within networking/security. 

• Cisco certification at Professional level, or equivalent hands-on experience. 

• Good understanding of multi-tenant solutions within network and data center environments. 

• Experience with VMware virtualization (NSX-T) and vCloud Director. 

• You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English. 

• Experience working according to ITIL frameworks. 
   

Additional qualifications (preferred): 

• Knowledge of underlay technologies. 

• Experience with Fortinet firewalls or similar platforms. 

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
