Job description

Vacancy: Quality control operator

AEGIR-Marine is the brand-independent expert in stern tube seals and marine propulsion services. With a global presence and a strong focus on quality, technical know-how and flexibility, we support shipowners worldwide in keeping their vessels operational.

To strengthen our Quality Control department, we are looking for a Quality Control Operator, based in our office Wijk bij Duurstede, the Netherlands.

At our core, we are an innovative, family-owned company where people come first. In our in-house R&D laboratory, we continuously develop advanced rubber compounds, improving vessel reliability, and helping to prevent oil leakage, contributing to a cleaner maritime industry.

Your role

As a Quality Control Operator (QCO) at AEGIR-Marine, you play a crucial role in ensuring that all parts and assemblies delivered to our customers meet our high-quality standards. Every product that ships to our customers passes through Quality Control, making your work essential to deliver reliable, high-quality products that best serve our customers.

You will perform dimensional and visual inspections based on technical drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. You work with precision, focus, and responsibility, and you collaborate closely with assembly, warehouse, and engineering colleagues. This role is well suited for someone with a strong technical interest, excellent attention to detail, and the ambition to develop into a key quality specialist within a maritime production environment. Through training and on-the-job training/guidance, you will learn every facet of this job.

Your responsibilities include

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on mechanical parts and assemblies.

Read, understand, and inspect according to technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.

Carry out measurements using various inspection and measurement tools (2D / 3D).

Verify compliance with customer specifications, internal procedures, and quality standards.

Identify, document, and report deviations or non-conformities clearly and accurately.

Work closely with Assembly, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to support quality improvement.

Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability.

Contribute to continuous improvement of quality control methods and processes.

What we offer

A competitive compensation package aligned with your experience.

Extensive internal training and guidance in quality control and AEGIR-Marine products.

A stable position within a specialized technical team.

· A professional, supportive, and international working environment.

Long-term career opportunities in a growing maritime company.
