Job Title:

Breakfast & After School Club Manager – St Werburgh’s Primary School, Bristol (BS2)

Club Manager required to lead and oversee daily operations within a busy wraparound care setting at St Werburgh’s Primary School in Bristol.

We are seeking an experienced, organised and enthusiastic individual to manage and deliver a high-quality after school club provision, ensuring a safe, engaging and well-run environment for children, staff, and families.

Contract:

Term Time Only - with the option to work up to 40 hrs per week during all school holidays

  • Part-time during term time
  • Full-time hours available during school holidays

Hours:

Term Time:

  • 22.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7.30 - 9.00 (Breakfast Club)
  • 15:00 – 18:00 (After School Club)

School Holidays:

  • Opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week
  • 08:30 – 17:30 (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays & weekends)

Pay:

£14.00 per hour

Additional Information:

  • Parking available onsite
  • Successful candidate will be supported to complete a Paediatric First Aid qualification (fully funded if not already qualified)

About the Role

At Junior Adventures Group, we are looking for a passionate and capable Breakfast & After School Club Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth running of our provision.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, maintaining high standards of childcare, and ensuring an engaging and safe environment for all children in our care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leadership experience who is passionate about childcare and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the after school club
  • Manage, support, and supervise staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies
  • Plan and coordinate engaging activities for children
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and the school
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and support financial control
  • Ensure the club environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Handle enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
  • Maintain accurate records including attendance, incidents, and operational documentation
  • Collaborate with central operations and report on club performance
  • Support behaviour management and promote a positive club culture
  • Ensure high standards of childcare and customer experience at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a management or leadership role within childcare, wraparound care, or a similar setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident in leading and motivating a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children and supporting their development
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational responsibilities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety requirements
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and experiences

This role is subject to safeguarding requirements in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
