For our valued partner from the international pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, we are currently looking for a

Procurement Manager (m/f/d) based in Schwabenheim with an almost fully remote setup.

You will work closely with the Category Lead and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, outcome-focused program environment. The role combines hands-on project delivery with strong analytical work, turning complex data and meeting outcomes into clear decision materials, business cases, and actionable next steps. Clear communication, reliable follow-up, and the ability to bring structure to ambiguity are key to success in this position.

Your tasks

  • Provide hands-on project support to the Procurement Category Lead for Lab Supplies and Lab Services within a strategic program environment
  • Analyze complex datasets on costs, demand drivers, and category performance and translate findings into clear recommendations
  • Develop data-driven business cases including financial impact, risk evaluation, and practical implementation plans
  • Drive defined sourcing activities such as market research, RFP preparation, supplier evaluation, and negotiation preparation
  • Translate meeting outcomes into concrete deliverables, decision materials, and tracked follow-up actions
  • Independently manage assigned initiatives and represent the category in cross-functional meetings when delegated
  • Contribute to standardization and simplification initiatives through documentation, process mapping, and removal of non-value-added activities

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis into clear recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to build robust business cases and communicate complex topics clearly
  • Strong execution mindset with the ability to independently drive initiatives in a fast-paced, outcome-focused environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally and internationally, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, animal health, or other regulated industries
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English skills, as all documentation and meetings are conducted in English

We offer you

  • A permanent employment contract
  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • A great working atmosphere and a highly motivated team
