Position Name: Global Quality Manager

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Purpose (mission)

Own, build, and operate the Quality Management System (QMS) for RIB aligned with ISO 9001, embedding quality into processes, tools, and behaviors across functions (Product, Customer Satisfaction, Supplier Management, HR, etc.), and steering continuous improvement to measurable outcomes. Particular focus is placed on governing quality in an AI-augmented software development environment

Core responsibilities

1. Quality strategy & objectives

Propose the Quality vision and objectives for RIB by clarifying what "quality" means for the company for validation by the VP ensuring alignment with the company's global strategy

2. QMS ownership & ISO 9001

Design, implement and operate the company-wide QMS aligned to ISO 9001; continuously improve it and maintain the end-to-end process model, ensuring processes and controls evolve with the increasing use of AI (process map, tiered documentation, KPIs, ...)

Operate the QMS governance and escalate strategic decisions (e.g., major changes, critical risks) to the VP for approval (including Management Review preparation inputs/outputs, action tracking, and escalation rules)

3. Cross-functional Process & Policy enablement

Map, implement, and harmonize processes and policies with process owners to drive consistent and efficient quality practices across the company (e.g., product quality, customer satisfaction, supplier management, HR).

In AI-augmented development, help define and enforce quality standards, including human review gates, end-to-end traceability, hallucination/drift controls and independent validation of AI-generated outputs.

Define and maintain Quality RACIs and handoffs with key stakeholders to avoid duplicate approvals and gridlock

4. Document control & Training leadership

Lead controlled documentation (policies, templates, approvals) and ensure an effective document lifecycle

Lead the quality training program, with specific emphasis on training teams to work effectively with AI while maintaining quality discipline (what to trust, what to verify, when to escalate).; educate employees on their roles and impact within the QMS

5. Internal audits, CAPA & continuous improvement

Plan and execute internal audits related to QMS application (including control testing) and drive timely remediation and closure of findings

Own the CAPA system and continuous improvement rhythm

6. External interfaces & quality transparency

Handle operational interfaces with suppliers / customers, escalate strategic issues (e.g., major disputes, cross-cutting improvement opportunities) to the VP; ensure corrective actions are defined, implemented and verified.

Maintain quality dashboards and metrics, including AI-specific quality indicators.

7. Quality committee leadership

Prepare and facilitate the Quality Committee, working in partnership with the VP
