Job description
BELFOR provides a comprehensive service for a variety of insurance companies by restoring & reinstating their customers’ homes after flooding or fire damage. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and high ‑ quality electrical work across residential and SME properties. You will diagnose faults accurately, complete repairs and installations to regulatory standards, and meet project deadlines set by the Contracts Manager. By maintaining clear communication, strong technical expertise, and up ‑ to ‑ date certifications, you will ensure efficient project delivery, excellent customer experience, and full adherence to BELFOR UK ’ s safety and quality requirements.
Accurate Diagnosis & Effective Repair
Electrical faults in domestic and commercial settings are diagnosed quickly and repaired correctly the first time, minimising project delays and customer disruption.
Fully Compliant & Safe Installations
All electrical installations—including alarms, heating/cooling systems, lighting, and rewires—meet regulatory standards and pass all required tests without remedial work.
Projects Delivered on Time and to Specification
Each project is completed within the timeframe set by the Contracts Manager, with scope changes clearly identified and communicated early.
Excellent Customer Experience
Customers understand the work being carried out, feel informed throughout the project, and express high satisfaction with workmanship and professionalism.
High Standards of Site Safety & Professionalism
All worksites are safe, compliant, tidy, and managed in line with BELFOR UK’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy (BKH L006).
Effective Use of Technical Knowledge
The Electrician uses up ‑ to ‑ date knowledge of Siemens BMS, Phillips lighting, and modern procedures and materials to diagnose and deliver efficient, future ‑ proof solutions.
Strong Collaboration & Flexible Support
Other trades and technicians are supported as needed, enabling BELFOR to provide a seamless restoration service.
Administrative Accuracy & Documentation
All required documentation—certificates, photos, updates, safety forms—is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
New techniques, technologies, and materials are adopted proactively, improving the quality, speed, and safety of work.
Additional Duties
Any additional reasonable requests from management are completed promptly, professionally, and to the required standard.
- City & Guilds level 3
- AM2 Inspection and Testing Certificate – 18 th edition
- NAPIT membership (desirable)
- Up ‑ to ‑ date electrical accreditations and certifications
