What does this role require and offer?

As a Data Manager for the Media & MarTech Data team, you will lead and grow a cross-functional team, implementing marketing technology and media data solutions that bring direct impact to Glovo’s growth and brand equity.

You will own the Media & MarTech Data Domain’s problem space end-to-end, cooperating with Growth Marketing, Product, Engineering, and external Ad-Tech partners to optimize our marketing spend and user acquisition strategies.

By joining our large and vibrant Data Community, you will contribute to cross-team initiatives and learn from talented colleagues.

  • Lead and grow a team of Product Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Analytics Engineers, focusing on building the highest performing and most engaged team.

  • Evolve the marketing data models (e.g., MMM, Budget optimisation, and Multi-Touch Attribution) that make sense of our customer acquisition cost (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV), ensuring hundreds of internal stakeholders can self-serve data effectively.

  • Own the MarTech Domain’s North-Star metrics (e.g., ROAS, incremental lift, retention rates, and media mix efficiency) and provide qualitative reporting to continuously monitor and improve them.

  • Be the competitive advantage for Marketing and Product teams, delivering data-driven actionable insights through advanced analytics, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) frameworks.

  • Architect our first-party data strategy, ensuring seamless data activation across our data platforms and other tools.

  • Contribute to the Glovo Data community by leading cross-functional projects and sharing knowledge across crafts.

What You’ll Bring to the Ride 🏎️

  • Comprehensive understanding of Data, from Data Engineering (pipelines, API integrations), to Data Analytics, to Data Science.

  • Strong technical leadership in Product Data Science or Marketing Science, with proven experience in delivering data-driven impact, leading advanced analytics projects, and mentoring ICs.

  • Experience in People and Team management is important but not a deal breaker. A track record in building high-performing teams is a differentiator but we are open to considering high potential candidates who have what it takes to be a great leader..

  • Deep domain expertise in MarTech & Ad-Tech ecosystems, including hands-on experience with CDPs (e.g., Segment, mParticle), Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs like AppsFlyer, Adjust), Google Analytics/Firebase, and major ad platform APIs (Meta, Google, TikTok).

  • Strong grasp of Marketing Data Science methodologies, such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), incrementality testing, and customer lifetime value (CLV) forecasting.

  • Strong understanding of modern privacy and identity landscapes, with an understanding of how SKAdNetwork, Privacy Sandbox, cookie deprecation, and regulations (GDPR) impact data collection and tracking.

  • Excellent communication in English, being able to bridge the gap between deeply technical engineering teams and commercial marketing stakeholders to influence strategic decision-making.
