GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or GED – Minimum baseline for entry into the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces throughout the building.
- Restroom Maintenance — Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock soap, paper products, and supplies.
- Trash Removal — Empty trash and recycling bins; transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Surface Sanitization — Disinfect high‑touch surfaces to maintain a healthy environment.
- Minor Maintenance — Replace light bulbs, report repairs, and perform basic building upkeep.
- Event Setup — Arrange furniture, equipment, and room layouts for meetings or events.
- Safety Compliance — Follow safety procedures, use cleaning chemicals properly, and maintain equipment.
- Outdoor Upkeep — Assist with light groundskeeping such as sweeping walkways or clearing debris.
Qualifications
- Experience — Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not always required.
- Physical Requirements — Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Skills — Attention to detail, reliability, time management, and ability to work independently.
