Role Summary
The role is responsible for the strategy, design, deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of Building Management Systems in standalone and campus facilities. This role calls for technical leadership, customer delight, partner governance, stakeholder management, teamwork, and operational excellence to ensure reliability, energy efficiency, compliance, and scalability of BMS delivery in multi-segment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Own the overall BMS architecture and roadmap across facilities (HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire, access control integration, car parking and related ELV systems).
- Define and enforce engineering standards, specifications, and best practices for BMS design and operations. And service delivery support.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives such as analytics, fault detection, energy optimization, and integration with IWMS / CMMS platforms.
- Support in pre-sales activities to drive strategic imperatives for customers that enhance winnability.
Program & Project Management Enablement
- Support end-to-end delivery of BMS projects for new builds, expansions, and retrofits.
- Support to Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, technical risks, and stakeholder communications on design and technical deliverables.
- Ensure seamless commissioning, testing, and handover to customers
Partner Management
- Own relationships with BMS OEMs, system integrators, and service providers.
- Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, SLAs, and performance KPIs (Graphics, Point Mapping, Data Entry).
- Support compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Energy & Sustainability
- Build energy management, carbon reduction, and sustainability goals.
- Leverage BMS data to improve power efficiency, comfort, and asset utilization.
- Partner with sustainability and ESG teams on reporting and initiatives.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BMS engineers and specialists of team size 8-10
- Drive capability building, certifications, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience is good to have
Experience
- 18–22+ years of experience in BMS / controls engineering
- 5+ years in a senior leadership or people management role
- Technical Delivery Experience in large-scale facilities (key segments | corporate campuses, data centers, hospitals, airports, malls, pharma)
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in HVAC controls, PLCs, SCADA, and DDC systems
- Hands-on experience with leading BMS platforms (e.g., ALC, Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls)
- Protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, OPC, MQTT
- Integration of BMS with fire alarm, power monitoring, elevators, and security systems
- Familiarity with NFPA, ASHRAE, ISO, IEC, local building codes
- Exposure to Networking , Cloud Technologies, SaaS product delivery is added advantage.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Data center or mission-critical facility experience
- Exposure to AI/ML-based BMS analytics or digital twins
- Certifications: LEED, Product Certification like Tridium
- Experience with IoT and cloud-based BMS platforms
