Job description

Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next-generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real-world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.

At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.

We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Apply now to join our team and be part of something bigger than yourself — where collaboration, creativity, and purpose come together to build the technologies that will define the next century.

The Assembly Technician is a hands-on, shop-floor role to the production line launch, ramp-up, and stabilization phase. The position focuses on mechanical and electrical assembly, equipment adjustments, and real-time process support.

In parallel the Assembly technician plays a key role in building new product prototypes using manual and semi-automated equipment, supporting process development and early-stage validation. Following the production line launch, the plan for the role is to transfer into the Maintenance Team, where the technician will support and train maintenance technicians in understating production processes, equipment behaviour and line operation.

The role is requiring practical skills in assembly mechanical and electrical, troubleshooting, equipment handling and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a core hand-on team member during line installation, commissioning and start up

  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of production equipment and stations

  • Support equipment setup, adjustments and fine-tuning to reach target performance

  • Execute trial runs and assist in process validation and capability testing

  • Perform precision mechanical and electrical assembly accordingly to technical documentation

  • Work with tools, fixtures and machines to ensure correct and repeatable assembly

  • Read and follow technical drawings, assembly instruction and electrical diagrams

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and production standards

  • Provide constructive feedback on assembly feasibility, tooling and fixture improvements

  • Support real-time line adjustments to improve flow, reduce downtime, and stabilize processes

  • Assist in cycle time improvements and line balancing activities

  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance during debugging and optimization

  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

  • Support maintenance team in diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities

  • After ramp-up, transition into maintenance-related responsibilities

  • Train and share knowledge with maintenance technicians regarding the production line

  • Build new prototypes using manual and semi-automatic equipment

  • Support engineering teams in early-stage product and process validation

  • Assist in adapting assembly methods for future serial production

  • Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities

  • Support scrap reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives

  • Apply and maintain 5S standards in the workplace

  • Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams

  • Actively participate in daily meetings and shop floor discussions

  • Perform other tasks assigned by manager

Requirements

  • Technical education in mechanics, electrics or similar

  • At least 5 years of experience on a similar position in assembly, maintenance or production environment

  • Communicative in English, as a plus

  • Experience in reading technical documentation, mechanical drawings & electrical diagrams

  • Knowledge of production processes and equipment

  • Hands-on skills in mechanical (assembly, alignment) and electrical assembly (wiring, cabinet wiring, electrical connections)

  • Experience with prototype builds or manual assembly processes

  • Ability to work in a team and to cooperate actively with quality, engineering, design, maintenance and production

  • Willingness to learn and expand into maintenance responsibilities

  • Familiarity with hand-tools and simple machining tools

  • Problem solving
