What you’ll do...
We are looking for a Waiter/Waitress to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, as well as delivering exceptional table service. You’ll play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through outstanding hospitality, product knowledge, and attention to detail.
- Support the team with daily Food & Beverage operations.
- Be the face of our guests’ experience, ensuring that every interaction is welcoming, engaging, and memorable.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to brand standards and guest preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders, serve guests efficiently, and ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Create a fun, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy themselves.
- Describe coffee offerings, beverages, and menu items with confidence, providing recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
- Maintain expert knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, beverage preparation, and menu offerings.
- Set up and maintain the coffee station and service areas, ensuring all supplies are stocked and organized.
- Ensure food and beverage stations remain fully stocked throughout service.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with restaurant, bar, and kitchen teams to deliver seamless service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and provide attentive and intuitive service.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and concerns professionally to ensure a positive experience.
- Process orders, cash transactions, and credit card payments accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure overall cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of all work areas and equipment.
- Support other Food & Beverage outlets when required, including room service, bar, terrace, or restaurant operations.
- Comply with departmental policies, procedures, service standards, and HACCP regulations.
- Contribute to achieving departmental service and guest satisfaction goals.
What we are looking for...
- +2 years of experience in hospitality within food & beverage.
- Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management valuable.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
