Job description
We're looking for an Assistant Director of Learning and Development to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive learning and development programs that drive employee growth and organizational success. You will work collaboratively across departments to identify training needs, deliver impactful learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous development. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and innovative—bringing both strategic vision and hands-on expertise to advance our L&D initiatives.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs and learning initiatives that address organizational and individual development needs
- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments by collaborating with department heads and stakeholders to identify skill gaps and learning priorities
- Manage end-to-end L&D projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback analysis, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement
- Administer and optimize the learning management system (LMS), including course uploads, user management, and reporting
- Support employee onboarding programs and career development pathways to enhance retention and engagement
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior L&D team members, fostering professional growth within the department
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development
- Maintain detailed training records, documentation, and compliance reports as required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize learning solutions that align with organizational goals and culture
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in learning and development, training, or related organizational development roles
- Proven expertise in instructional design and training program development
- Strong proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and training delivery platforms
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in evaluating training effectiveness and interpreting data
- Problem-solving abilities and creative thinking to develop innovative learning solutions
- Proficiency in adult learning principles and training methodologies
- Experience with virtual, hybrid, and in-person training delivery methods
- Knowledge of performance management and talent development systems
- Familiarity with customizing training content for diverse learner populations
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a motivational approach to employee development
