Job description

  • At Associate L2, you independently own testing of small-to-medium modules, design reusable test cases,and actively contribute to QA process improvements. You are expected to bring structured thinking, clear documentation, and a proactive approach to quality - working closely with developers and contributing to the team’s overall engineering standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and own detailed test scenarios, cases, and test data for small-to-medium modules.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cycles independently.
  • Participate in requirement and design reviews; flag gaps and edge cases early.
  • Collaborate with developers to triage, reproduce, and resolve defects effectively.
  • Build and maintain reusable test artefacts; document QA processes and share learnings with the team.
  • Contribute to identifying process improvement opportunities within the QA function
  • Completed BE, B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent
  • ISTQB Foundation certification preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 1–3 years of experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience in both areas, as this is a pure Manual + Automation QA role.

SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient in test case design, execution, defect reporting, and test documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Manual Testing, including Functional, Regression, Integration, Exploratory, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Working knowledge of Automation Testing using Playwright with JavaScript. Experience with Selenium will also be considered.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM).
  • Hands-on experience with Git or Bitbucket for source code management and collaboration.
  • Basic understanding of API testing and ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Understanding of Performance Testing concepts and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical thinking with a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Ownership mindset with accountability for the quality of assigned modules.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation and test coverage.
  • Awareness of AI-assisted testing tools and willingness to adopt them in day-to-day QA workflows.
  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to assist in generating test cases, writing test scripts, or summarising defect patterns.
