Compensation
The compensation target for this role is: $161,500 - $190,000Job Summary
Directly accountable to lead the manufacturing organization to a level ofperformance identifiable with World Class organizations, utilizing lean
production and continual improvement techniques. Directs all Purple
manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering activities to ensure
maximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality products
within specified time and budgetary guidelines. Works with Corporate
Engineering, Innovations, Supply Chain, Quality, Brand, and
Sales/Marketing to coordinate the production process for product
changes and the introduction of new products.
Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing production, maintenance, engineering
performance metrics.
• Accountable for planning, implementation and directing of all
production/manufacturing, maintenance and engineering
activities.
• Accountable for production, maintenance, engineering

• Works closely with the finance department to align production
build with cash flow planning and management.
• Mentor and grow management talent.
• Ensures managers provide leadership, coaching/training, respect,
transparency, and a chance to grow for all production employees.
• Holds production, maintenance, engineering personnel
accountable for a strong work ethic, productivity, innovation,
profitability, and safety.
• Creates strategies to focus on the Employee Experience,
reduce/eliminate waste/scrap, and ensure a product free of
defects.
• Provide leadership in continuous improvement activities to
achieve Purples goals of meeting quality, cost, and delivery
objectives.
• Develop and provide feedback on sustainability plan and recycling
program for manufacturing components.
• Take action to resolve manufacturing, availability, and quality
problems when they occur and prevent recurrence Liaise with
superior to make decisions for operational activities and set
strategic goals.
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure
smooth progress.
• Supervise staff from different departments within production and
provide constructive feedback.
• Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according
to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and
resources allocation.
• Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to
promote profitability.
Required Skills, Education, Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work
experience.
• 5+ years of management experience required.
• Manufacturing experience (3 years preferred) in rapid growing
company.
• Experience in injection molding and/or mattress manufacturing
preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – comfortable in
Excel and PPT.
• Ability to manage and put ideas forward. Ability to work in a
project team and communicate across the organization (Corporate
/ Zone).
• Sufficient technical knowledge to effectively interface with other
departments and personnel.

• Physical activities may occasionally include:
• Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for
prolonged periods of time.
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles
and the like.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various
environments.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Physical activities may constantly include:
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or
fingers.
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work
assigned.
