The Knowledge Management SME will serve as the lead resource responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining War Data Platform enterprise Knowledge Management (KM) capabilities across all cloud, security, and operational environments. This role will establish and maintain a centralized knowledge ecosystem that captures, organizes, curates, and disseminates information related to the development, testing, authorization, operation, maintenance, and use of the War Data Platform and its service offerings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Developing and maintaining knowledge repositories, content libraries, and collaborative workspaces
  • Establishing and enforcing content governance standards, taxonomies, and metadata structures
  • Designing knowledge-sharing workflows, processes, and best practices
  • Supporting content creation, curation, version control, and quality reviews
  • Facilitating lessons-learned capture, after-action reviews, and continuous improvement activities
  • Analyzing knowledge asset usage to recommend enhancements or process improvements
  • Coordinating closely with stakeholders, functional teams, and communications leads to ensure alignment
  • Managing updates to KM portals, dashboards, and digital tools

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related accounting or technical field.
  • Experience supporting knowledge management, information management, or content governance
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience
  • Proficiency with knowledge repositories, content management systems, and collaboration platforms
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to translate technical information into user-friendly content
  • Ability to organize, structure, and maintain large volumes of information
  • Experience conducting content audits, usage tracking, or data-driven process improvements
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and maintain knowledge repositories, knowledge articles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, technical documentation, training materials, and FAQs.
  • Capture, document, and manage information associated with the design, development, testing, authorization, deployment, operation, sustainment, and use of the war data platform system and its service offerings.
  • Ensure continuity of access to knowledge resources while improving navigability, usability, and content quality.
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure knowledge management effectiveness, adoption, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, cybersecurity personnel, platform operators, program management offices, and end users to capture and disseminate institutional knowledge.
  • Must have an active Top Secret Clearance (or higher, such as TS/SCI) to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting FM, readiness, training, or related operational environments
  • Familiarity with DoD or federal KM frameworks, standards, or processes
  • Experience facilitating lessons learned programs or organizational learning initiatives
  • Knowledge of digital collaboration tools, SharePoint administration, or metadata/taxonomy development
  • Certifications such as CKM, KMI, or related KM credentials
  • Knowledge of records management, digital preservation, and content lifecycle management practices.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder engagement, facilitating communities of practice, and leading knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
