Position Summary:
The Regional SSP Manager leads the strategic, administrative, and operational oversight of the Safety Service Patrol program. This role bridges the gap between regional and executive program leadership, ensuring consistency, procedural integrity, and operational excellence. The SSP Manager plays a lead role leading a team and in managing documentation, internal processes, compliance, and personnel development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead administrative oversight of personnel records, incident documentation, training compliance, shift reports, vehicle/equipment tracking, and inventory audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of SSP documentation, reports, logs, and other administrative deliverables.
- Lead cross-shift coordination to standardize operations and communication protocols across the region.
- Monitor adherence to policies and procedures and provide guidance to supervisors on documentation and compliance requirements.
- Perform operational planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
- Oversee personnel matters, including performance plans, coaching, and progressive discipline documentation.
- Mentor SSP Supervisors and Leads on supervisory responsibilities, administrative expectations, and professional development.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and shift scheduling efforts in collaboration with the Regional Operations Manager.
- Coordinate field operations with Traffic Operations Center (TOC) during major incidents, planned events, and emergency activations.
- Represent the SSP program during inter-agency meetings, preparedness exercises, and external stakeholder engagements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of relevant transportation operations or public safety experience; or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
- 4 years of supervisory experience in a 24/7 operational environment with strong administrative responsibilities.
- Demonstrated excellence in recordkeeping, process management, and personnel coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior SSP Supervisor, Field Operations Manager, or equivalent public safety/transportation leadership experience.
- Familiarity with incident management protocols, emergency response coordination, and radio communications.
- FEMA ICS-400 certification.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance field response support and administrative duties.
- Experience working with public sector clients or in contract compliance environments.
- Familiarity or ability to learn new technologies and interfaces.
