This position will report to the Director, Referral Source Arrangements and Post-Acute Services, Compliance and is primarily responsible for overseeing the process to accurately capture and record the business rationale for entering into a contractual relationship with a referral source and why a specific referral source(s) is an appropriate partner to meet the business need.  This position will work with business clients, legal and compliance to ensure fraud and abuse risk is low as it relates to DaVita’s agreements with referral sources, such as medical director agreements and transactions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with field employees, field leadership, legal and compliance to help understand the need for a specific referral source arrangement and the qualifications and past performance of proposed referral source partners. 

  • Documents the business rationale and partner selection information in a salesforce based system.

  • Collaborates with the compliance and legal team to help assess Anti-Kickback Statute and other compliance risks associated with referral source agreements and helps resolve potential compliance issues.

  • Collaborates with the compliance and legal team to escalate potential performance concerns for further investigation.

  • Manages special projects as needed.

  • Minimal travel required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD/MBA or other relevant advanced degree or certification preferred.

  • Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a legal or compliance professional.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and field employees.

  • Superior organization and project management skills.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven track record of collaborative problem solving with business leaders, compliance and legal to achieve business goals.

  • Experience in the health care industry and knowledge of health care fraud and abuse laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, is preferred.

  • Ability to proactively communicate clearly compliance risk to field employees and field leadership and manage expectations with multiple constituencies. 

  • Ability to use data and systems to help accomplish broader compliance risk mitigation strategies.

  • Hands on, efficient and proven ability to “Get [a lot of] Stuff Done” with a strong sense of ownership.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $96,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year.

 

 

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
