Job Description
Work with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to evaluate medication requests, ensuring adherence to guidelines, facilitate the prior authorization process, and entry of medication therapy plans into Epic. The ideal candidate will bring a wide clinical knowledge base, possess excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations, follow-through on all assigned tasks, be accountable for assigned work metrics, and a commitment to optimizing medication access for patients. Position Location: On-Site Certification/licensure: Valid SC pharmacist license; if not licensed, must have SC licensure within 90-days of hire
Additional Job DescriptionMinimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
