Under the direction of the Ambulatory Infusion System Pharmacy Director, the Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Pharmacy Team Lead Pharmacist provides operational, clinical, and supervisory leadership for ambulatory oncology infusion pharmacy services in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, and Georgetown. This position is responsible for oversight of daily infusion pharmacy operations, sterile compounding workflow, oncology treatment plan management, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy staff coordination within the ambulatory oncology infusion environment.Entity

Job Description
The Team Lead Pharmacist collaborates closely with oncologists, advanced practice providers, infusion nursing, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and patient-centered oncology infusion services. The position serves as a frontline operational leader and subject matter expert for oncology infusion pharmacy practice, including hazardous sterile compounding, chemotherapy verification, inventory oversight, workflow optimization, and infusion-related quality initiatives.
The Team Lead Pharmacist ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws, USP <797>/<800> standards, accreditation requirements, and institutional policies.
Position Location: On-Site, Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, and Georgetown infusion pharmacy locations
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
Experience
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of oncology, infusion, or sterile compounding pharmacy experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Active South Carolina Pharmacist License
- BLS Certification
- Hazardous Drug Handling competency required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of oncology and infusion pharmacotherapy
- Knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, hazardous drug handling, and sterile compounding regulations
- Knowledge of oncology treatment regimens, supportive care protocols, and infusion-related adverse event management
- Experience with Epic Beacon or equivalent oncology EMR systems
- Ability to oversee sterile compounding operations and infusion workflow
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment
- Strong quality improvement and operational problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary collaboration and workflow optimization initiatives

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist.
