We’re looking for a Director of Marketing to lead day-to-day marketing for our enterprise AI consulting business. It’s a rare mix: a senior seat with real ownership, on a small team where you set the strategy and stay close to the work. We market a consulting firm where our people, their expertise, and the accelerators and frameworks they build are the product, so you’ll spend your time on thought leadership, executive brand building, demand generation, and the campaigns that turn our point of view on AI into pipeline. You’ll lead the marketing team and trusted contractors, report to our VP, Strategic Alliances & Marketing, and partner closely with sales, practice leaders, and the executive team.
This is a fully remote role, with occasional travel for events (~10%).
What You’ll Do:
- Drive demand generation and account-based marketing that builds qualified pipeline.
- Run campaigns end-to-end, from strategy and messaging through build and launch.
- Turn our positioning into market-facing stories and messaging that land with business buyers.
- Lead content and brand across formats: thought leadership, executive brand building, white papers, case studies, and web copy, with a consistent visual identity across channels.
- Partner with revenue leaders on sales enablement, and build a customer reference and advocacy motion that feeds case studies, testimonials, and proof points for active deals.
- Manage our website, PR, conferences, and externally facing presence.
- Own a lean, AI-native martech stack (CRM, automation, and analytics) and build AI into how the team works, with systems and workflows that let a small team operate like a much larger one.
- Lead and grow the marketing team and contractors, and own the marketing budget and vendor relationships, setting priorities and raising the bar on execution and measurement.
- Track performance and connect marketing activity to pipeline and revenue.
What You’ll Bring:
- 8–12+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong track record as an operator who builds and ships, beyond strategy and team management.
- An AI-first approach to marketing. You already use AI tools daily and have built systems that scale a team’s output, well past personal productivity.
- Breadth across the marketing stack, having personally owned several of: demand gen, content, campaigns, sales enablement, web, and PR.
- A track record in smaller or high-growth environments where you wore many hats and helped build a go-to-market motion.
- Strong storytelling and messaging instincts. Our buyers are business leaders, so you can take complex AI solutions and tell the story in language that resonates with the business, grounded in the outcomes they care about.
- Executive presence. You can hold your own with senior leaders and be client-facing, including speaking to our work and case studies.
- Motivated and intellectually curious, ready to step up and take a big swing.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- A clear point of view on how AI is reshaping the marketing function, backed by direct experience navigating its impact on web traffic and discoverability (AEO/GEO), content creation, and website development.
- Hands-on building with AI: custom GPTs or agents, prompt engineering, content and video generation, and automated workflows that do real work.
- A habit of replacing legacy martech with AI-native tools, for example AI site builders in place of WordPress, or AI-driven content and ABM platforms.
- Marketing experience at AI, technology, or consulting companies, or marketing a services business where the firm’s people, accelerators, and frameworks and methodologies are the product.
