About Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) , Information & Technology Division, Technology Delivery and Operations Department

At ACRA, we are always on the lookout for high performing individuals who share our aspiration of making Singapore the best place for business. Our people are proactive self-starters, empowered to create value and grow their careers in an environment that fosters trust and respect.

The Technology Delivery and Operations Department is focused on delivering ACRA's digital transformation. We work in close partnership with business and technology units to design impactful products that solve complex regulatory challenges while delivering seamless customer experiences.

[What you will be working on]

We are looking for a Product Designer dedicated to challenging the status quo and modernizing Singapore’s business landscape. Through reimagining Bizfile and designing new features and interactions, you will have the opportunity to shape critical digital infrastructure.

Join us if you thrive in an open, agile environment and are eager to translate complex regulatory requirements into seamless user experiences. This is an opportunity to grow your career while making a tangible contribution to the public good.

As a Product Designer, you are a key contributing member of the design team who works with autonomy to deliver user-centred solutions across the product development lifecycle. You confidently take on broader responsibilities, lead key projects, and make independent decisions that align with user needs and product goals. Your strong communication and collaboration skills enable you to mentor junior designers and work effectively with stakeholders. At this level, you are competent and consistently shipping good products and features, while actively contributing to team culture and helping peers grow.

Responsibilities:

Product & Design Execution

You will support the delivery of product initiatives by leading design work across multiple domains, identifying user needs, and driving design problem-solving to create intuitive, accessible, and effective digital solutions. You will work with product teams and business owners to advocate for good user experience through intuitive interactions and user-centred design solutions. You will contribute to the development and adoption of design standards and frameworks, and track design metrics that demonstrate the impact of design work. You will also develop your strategic product thinking under the guidance of senior designers and product leads.

Research & Insight

You will support and help plan user research initiatives, including user interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and pain points. You will synthesise research findings into clear, actionable insights and translate them into concrete design recommendations that enhance product usability and effectiveness, influencing product strategy and informing design decisions.

Product Development & Design Excellence

You will apply design thinking processes to engage stakeholders, develop user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to conceptualise and test digital solutions across the product development lifecycle. You will translate user needs and product requirements into clear user flows, information architecture, interaction designs, and accessible UI solutions. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, design trade-offs, and implementation feasibility, making sound trade-offs in moderately complex situations and explaining decisions using evidence. You will uphold accessibility and inclusive design principles in all product development work.

Data-Driven Improvement & Innovation

You will analyse data and user feedback to surface insights that inform design improvements and product iterations. You will support experimentation and usability testing efforts to validate design decisions and measure product performance. You will apply AI-powered tools with critical judgment as part of your day-to-day design work, and stay current with emerging design techniques, digital service trends, and tools, sharing relevant findings with the team.

Ownership & Strategic Alignment

You will independently own assigned tasks and projects, identify and address issues proactively, and know when to seek appropriate help. You will align your work with team goals and priorities, with a focus on tasks that deliver the most expected business value, and adapt to changing priorities independently.

Team & Culture

You will collaborate with peers and stakeholders to ensure effective execution, and take an active role in mentoring junior designers to support their growth. You will address conflicts constructively and respectfully, suggest improvements that enhance team effectiveness, and share knowledge, resources, and learnings, including failures, openly to ensure team success.

[What we are looking for]

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Product Design, Design Research, or a related field (or equivalent experience), along with at least 4 years of experience in product or UI/UX design. You should have a demonstrated track record of launching and scaling complex digital products end to end.

You should be proficient in contemporary design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch, or InVision. Familiarity with AI-powered prototyping tools such as Loveable or Figma Make, and an interest in emerging technologies like AI and vibe coding, will be advantageous.

Most importantly, you are passionate about understanding how people think and interact with digital services, and are driven by a desire to improve people's lives through intuitive, user-centred design, particularly in the public sector context. You take ownership of your work, manage tasks independently, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
