Job description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Design) in support to our client Fusion for Energy for their location in Barcelona, Spain.

The successful candidate will support the design, analysis, and documentation of mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, manufacturing processes, and reliability requirements.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

Support internal and outsourced activities related to a complex optomechanical system installed in a vacuum and radiation environment;

Support supplier activities to completion by taking ownership of specific technical uncertainties, including completing internal studies if required to support decision making;

The project will move from final design to production of a full scale prototype in the next few years, meaning that an important part of the job will involve ensuring continuity between design, procurement, and testing phases.
