About the Role

  • Servicing commercial and domestic refrigerators, freezers, and cold rooms.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting building management systems (both electronic and mechanical).
  • Contributing to the planning and maintenance of periodic service schedules.
  • Conducting regular inspections and ensuring equipment meets all relevant safety and compliance standards.

This position will require you to become part of the hospital's On-call breakdown team, participating in the On-call roster as required.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • At least five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Restricted electrical licence (QLD).
  • A current Qld drivers licence.
  • A sound understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • The ability to plan, organise, and manage day-to-day tasks independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and quality within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
  • Previous experience working with HVAC mechanical systems and equipment in a hospital or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of steam or boiler equipment and systems.
  • Hold a certificate in working at heights, elevated work platform and confined space.
  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children Check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
