What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced RF Line Manager to lead our RF/Antenna engineering activities in Lausanne. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with team leadership, driving the development, validation, and industrialization of cutting-edge satellite communications antenna systems.

You will be responsible for managing a team of RF engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery of RF subsystems while fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The day-to-day

Lead and support the RF engineering team on a daily basis, ensuring high-quality design, testing, and delivery of RF subsystems. Oversee technical activities, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, manage priorities and resources, and actively support problem-solving, design reviews, and continuous improvement while developing team members.

What you'll need

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of RF/Antenna engineers
  • Define team objectives aligned with product and R&D roadmaps
  • Support recruitment, performance management, and career development
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture

Technical Oversight

  • Oversee the design, simulation, testing, and characterization of RF subsystems and antennas
  • Provide technical guidance on RF and microwave design (Ku, Ka, X, C, S bands)
  • Ensure best practices in RF testing, measurement, and validation
  • Drive root cause analysis and problem-solving for complex RF issues

Project & Delivery Management

  • Coordinate RF development activities across multiple projects
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions from prototype to production
  • Interface with cross-functional teams (systems, mechanical, hardware, manufacturing)
  • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and laboratories

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Ensure high standards in documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing
  • Supervise antenna production projects with third-party suppliers

Key Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to balance technical depth with strategic oversight
  • Experience of EDA design tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS
  • Strong collaboration skills in interdisciplinary environments
  • Strong collaboration skills in an interdisciplinary environment

Travel up to 10%

Swiss, EU Citizenship, or Valid Swiss Work Permit
