EchoStar's internal ad agency, OneTen Creative, requires a business-minded and visionary Agency Director to drive long-term strategic growth and streamline operations within a dynamic corporate landscape. This leadership role addresses the complex challenge of aligning creative initiatives across major brands like Sling and DISH with broader corporate objectives and strict financial metrics. By consolidating executive management and operational oversight, this role serves as a powerful advocate for the agency, shielding the creative team from distractions to maximize output and efficiency. Successfully navigating this position requires bridging the gap between high-level executive expectations and day-to-day creative execution to establish OneTen as an invaluable internal partner.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
•
Develop and execute OneTen’s 1- and 3-year strategic plans to firmly establish the agency’s position and financial value within the larger EchoStar ecosystem.
•
Lead and advocate for the creative agency while streamlining organizational structures and department initiatives to optimize creative output and efficiency.
•
Establish comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to regularly track project outcomes, measure creative ROI, and evaluate overall agency health.
•
Drive the growth of the internal agency footprint by scaling internal capabilities, scoping projects, and managing cross-departmental resourcing budgets.
•
Integrate generative AI tools and modern creative technologies into the agency workflow to increase production efficiencies and foster continuous operational innovation.
•
Bridge the gap between creative execution and executive leadership, facilitating seamless marketing alignment with the VP of Brand and Marketing and other corporate departments.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring)
•
Extensive executive-level creative agency leadership experience, specifically in Managing Director or Agency Director roles managing multi-disciplinary teams.
•
Strong business and financial acumen with deep expertise in managing agency budgets, resource allocation, and building internal capabilities.
•
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication capabilities to act as a highly effective liaison between creative teams and corporate executives.
•
Strategic planning expertise with a demonstrated ability to build, implement, and track long-term business plans and agency-wide metrics.
•
Proven experience mentoring senior agency leaders across Creative, Client Services, and Operations to foster high-quality output and career growth.
•
Advanced AI literacy and application skills to strategically evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools for creative operations and production workflows.
Minimum Requirements
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
•
10+ years of progressive leadership experience within a creative agency setting (in-house or external).
•
Experience with executive agency leadership roles (e.g., Agency Director, Managing Director) and directly managing senior-level leaders across Creative, Client Services, and Operations.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year Benefits

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
