Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Technology Sourcing Associate is to execute best‑in‑class sourcing strategies and plans for technology and digital talent, with a strong focus on engaging passive candidates. The role is accountable for delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective, and timely hiring outcomes across a broad range of technology roles. Working in close partnership with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and fellow Sourcers, you will design and implement effective sourcing approaches specific to the technology domain. Leveraging market knowledge and prior experience, you will continuously recommend enhancements to improve recruitment effectiveness while actively representing the Blackstone brand. This role reports into the Recruiting Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in intake meetings to develop a deep understanding of technology role requirements, team structures, technical skill sets, and the employee value proposition.

  • Recommend and execute tailored sourcing strategies for technology roles across software engineering, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and related digital functions.

  • Source and engage qualified technology professionals for active requisitions, with a strong emphasis on passive talent.

  • Present thoroughly vetted candidates who meet both technical requirements and Hiring Manager expectations.

  • Leverage innovative and creative sourcing channels, including technical communities, open‑source platforms, professional networks, and social media, to expand the technology talent pipeline.

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring effective pre‑screening and clear communication throughout the early recruitment process.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all candidate interactions through effective ATS and CRM management.

  • Proactively build and manage technology talent pipelines and pre‑qualified candidate pools aligned with workforce and succession planning.

  • Maintain ongoing engagement with existing technology talent communities and talent pool candidates.

  • Monitor and communicate market intelligence, including technology talent trends, competitive hiring activity, and emerging skill demands.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks highly motivated, intellectually curious individuals who have demonstrated excellence in prior roles. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience in an agency staffing environment and/or in-house recruiting, with a focus on technology or digital talent.

  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in the staffing industry or a related field, with demonstrated success sourcing technology professionals.

  • Experience supporting technology functions within Financial Services, FinTech, or similarly complex, regulated environments preferred.

  • Proven ability to design and execute creative technology sourcing strategies using job boards, technical forums, professional associations, employee referral programs, social platforms, and advanced internet research.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with technical candidates and stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in Boolean search techniques and recruiting tools, including Outlook, web-based platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Experience using Workday or similar ATS platforms preferred.

  • Experience in data management, market research, and translating technology hiring trends into actionable insights is a plus.
