Job Description:
The primary responsibility of a Sourcing Associate is to execute sourcing strategies and plans, with a strong emphasis on passive talent, to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality fulfillment of open roles. The role involves close collaboration with Recruiters and fellow Sourcers to recommend and develop effective sourcing approaches. Leveraging prior experience, the Sourcing Associate will also propose enhancements to continuously improve recruitment strategy effectiveness. Reporting into a Recruiting Lead, you will execute and deliver best‑practice sourcing strategies while actively representing the Blackstone brand.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in intake meetings to gain a clear understanding of role requirements, team dynamics, and the employee value proposition.
Recommend and execute the most effective sourcing strategies aligned to the relevant business verticals.
Identify and source qualified candidates for active requisitions.
Present thoroughly vetted candidates who meet role requirements and align with Hiring Manager expectations.
Leverage innovative and creative sourcing channels to expand the talent pipeline, with a strong focus on directly sourced passive candidates.
Deliver an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring candidates are appropriately pre-screened prior to entering the recruitment process.
Maintain accurate and timely records of all candidate interactions, including effective management of ATS and CRM systems.
Proactively build and manage talent pipelines and pre-qualified candidate pools in line with workforce planning needs.
Maintain ongoing engagement with existing talent pool candidates.
Conduct informed and engaging conversations with candidates about current and future opportunities.
Develop candidate engagement initiatives, including proactive talent marketing campaigns.
Share insights on market conditions and competitive talent trends.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. A successful candidate should (have):
Previous experience in an agency staffing environment and/or in-house recruiting function.
6 - 8 years of relevant experience within the staffing industry or a related field.
Experience supporting multiple functions within Financial Services, with strong preference for exposure to Investment Banking, Investment Management, or other Asset Management disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute creative sourcing strategies using job boards, professional associations, employee referral programs, social media platforms, and online research.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Boolean search techniques and common business tools, including Outlook, web-based platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with Workday is preferred.
Background in data management, generating market research and competitor insights is a plus.
