Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the sales of ABB Motion Drive Products solutions across Lombardia region, supporting customers in achieving their productivity, efficiency, and sustainability goals. You will be responsible for developing business opportunities with OEMs and System Integrators across a wide range of industrial segments.

This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products Business Area in Lombardia, Italy.
You will be mainly accountable for
•
Achieving sales targets and profitable growth for ABB Drives and Motion solutions within the assigned territory.
•
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with OEMs, System Integrators, and key industrial customers across Lombardia.
•
Promoting ABB's complete Motion portfolio, including Low Voltage Drives, Motion Control Solutions, PLCs and Electric Motors.
•
Identifying new business opportunities and supporting customers in the selection of the most effective automation and motion solutions.
•
Building and executing account plans to increase market penetration and expand ABB's installed base.
•
Preparing technical and commercial offers in collaboration with internal sales support and proposal teams.
•
Communicating with customers regarding delivery schedules, commercial conditions, and contract requirements in line with ABB policies and strategy.
•
Supporting marketing initiatives, product launches, customer events, and promotional campaigns to strengthen ABB's market presence.
•
Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
•
Managing administrative sales activities, CRM updates, forecasting, cash collection support, and project follow-up when required.
Qualifications for the role
•
You have at least 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within industrial automation.
•
Strong knowledge of industrial drive systems and automation technologies, with experience in products such as AC drives, PLCs, motors, and motion control solutions.
•
Good understanding of OEM and System Integrator business models and industrial production processes.
•
Ability to build long-term customer relationships, negotiate effectively, and manage complex sales opportunities.
•
Technical education and experience in Automation, Mechatronics , or a related technical field.
•
Comfortable in communicating in English
•
Availability to travel regularly within the assigned area
Compensation Package
As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:
Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: € 39.000
Variable Pay: Eligible for Sales Incentive Plan and Company Productivity Bonus
