Job Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Geoscientist to perform advanced geological and geophysical (G&G) interpretations to support our global exploration and development projects. You will be responsible for integrating diverse datasets—including seismic, well log, and core data—to build robust structural and stratigraphic models. Your insights will directly influence drilling locations and resource estimates, ensuring the technical integrity of our subsurface assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to map structural frameworks and depositional systems.
- Perform detailed well-log correlations and petrophysical analysis to identify pay zones.
- Build and maintain high-resolution static 3D geological models.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers to provide input for dynamic simulation models.
- Evaluate exploration prospects and present technical risk assessments to the investment committee.
Work Experience
- Experience: 8–15 years in upstream oil and gas, with a strong focus on exploration or development geology.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Petrel (G&G module), OpenWorks, or DecisionSpace .
- Expertise: Deep understanding of seismic stratigraphy, structural geology, and regional basin analysis.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work in integrated asset teams and communicate technical risks clearly to senior leadership.
- Education: Master’s degree in Geosciences, Geology, or Geophysics (PhD highly preferred).
Benefits
- Expat Support: Full relocation package, including specialized support for families moving to the Middle East.
- Research Access: Access to proprietary global seismic databases and state-of-the-art visualization labs.
- Global Mobility: Clear pathways for career rotation between major technical hubs (Houston, Dhahran, London).
- Professional Growth: Sponsorship for professional certifications and attendance at global conferences (AAPG, SEG).
