Role Summary

The Senior AML Official will join CC Fund Services (Malta) Limited, a regulated Fund Administrator and licensed CSP within the Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading onboarding and due diligence processes for clients and investors, while supporting the Company’s MLRO in ensuring that all AML/CFT and regulatory requirements are met. The role involves overseeing ongoing monitoring, maintaining compliance frameworks, and assisting the MLRO with day-to-day activities and escalations.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening the Company’s AML compliance culture, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards for clients and investors, and responding promptly and effectively to ad hoc requests.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for clients and investors, including customer due diligence (CDD), screening, and the preparation, and where required, approval, of Customer Risk Assessments.

Conduct and supervise periodic and ad-hoc reviews of existing clients and investors, ensuring all due diligence documentation remains accurate, complete, and up to date.

Ensure effective ongoing monitoring of client and investor relationships, including timely updates to files and confirmations of Beneficial Ownership in line with regulatory requirements.

Maintain robust AML/CFT systems and databases, ensuring all compliance-related records for clients and investors are accurate, complete, and readily accessible.

Act as a key point of contact for corporate clients and, where applicable, investors, providing guidance on AML/CFT matters, managing escalations, and ensuring that these requests are handled efficiently.

Support and, where required, act on behalf of the MLRO, including responding to urgent client and investor queries and ensuring continuity in their absence.

Prepare and present AML/CFT reports and updates relating to clients and investors for quarterly Board Meetings.

Develop, implement, and continuously enhance AML/CFT policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure alignment with evolving legal and regulatory frameworks.

Conduct and/or oversee periodic screening of clients and investors, including updates from the Sanctions Monitoring Board and the Asset Recovery Bureau.

Monitor and assess jurisdictional risk ratings impacting clients and investors, ensuring timely updates in response to changes in risk profiles.

Stay up to date with AML/CFT regulatory developments and advise senior management and the Board on the implications of new requirements affecting clients and investors.

Ensure full alignment with the FIAU Implementing Procedures and other applicable regulatory standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the AML/CFT framework, with a focus on both client and investor processes.

Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a strong culture of compliance and professional development.

Undertake any additional duties assigned by senior management, contributing to the company’s governance and risk management framework.
