Your Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Landscape Installation Crew Leader to join our Housing department. You will be responsible for overseeing a crew of 2–5 team members to ensure the successful execution of landscape installation projects. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who excels at translating design plans into reality, maintains high quality and safety standards, and fosters a productive, motivated team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct daily operations, mentor crew members on best practices, and provide ongoing performance feedback to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Project Execution: Interpret landscape architectural designs and construction plans to lead the installation of new landscapes, including planting, grading, and site preparation.
• Hardscape & Softscape Implementation: Manage the installation of features such as paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, and irrigation systems.
• Quality Control: Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and client specifications; proactively identify and resolve on-site issues.
• Operational Management:
• Oversee daily prep of trucks, equipment, and materials.
• Document daily progress, track crew hours, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform end-of-day cleanup and secure all equipment.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape installation or a related field, with demonstrated leadership ability.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Ability to read and interpret scaled landscape designs and blueprints.
• Expertise in landscape installation techniques (grading, planting, hardscape construction).
• Experience operating and maintaining industry-standard landscaping equipment.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (bilingual in English/Spanish is a significant plus); ability to manage and motivate a team; strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the day; comfort working in Florida’s extreme weather conditions.
• Certifications/Licenses: Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
