As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering holistic, person-centred healthcare services to detainees. Working collaboratively with medical practitioners, allied health professionals and other healthcare team members, you will support the assessment, planning, coordination and delivery of healthcare services that promote wellbeing and positive health outcomes.
This role offers a diverse clinical workload and the opportunity to utilise a broad range of nursing skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact!
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and care planning
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care and chronic disease management
- Administer medications and immunisations
- Perform wound care, blood collection and other clinical procedures
- Provide health education and health promotion initiatives
- Coordinate care with internal and external healthcare providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences when required

Let’s talk about you!
You are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration (Division 1) and at least five years of post-registration clinical experience in an operational healthcare setting. You bring strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. You thrive working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, can effectively manage competing priorities, and demonstrate adaptability, resilience and professionalism in dynamic environments. You are confident using computer systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite. Ideally, you will hold a relevant postgraduate qualification and have experience working within correctional, detention, drug and alcohol, primary healthcare, or other complex care settings, with an understanding of contemporary drug and alcohol health issues and relevant legislation.
Why you’ll love this role:
- Join a well-respected Australian healthcare organisation with 1,000+ clinicians across medical, nursing, and allied health
